For Special Events Liquor Permit, at least 30 days should be allowed for processing.
To obtain a special event please read through the Informational Packet, fill out the Application, and have the persons serving at your event sign the sheet stating that they have read and understand the Server Information.

A Public Consumption Permit allows alcohol consumption within certain Gunnison City Parks for:
- private (invite only/not advertised) events where alcohol will be consumed by invited guests 21 years or older
- public events where the public may bring their own personal alcohol (no service or sales by the organizer).
The City issues public consumption permits for events at the following locations only:
- Jorgensen Softball Fields – limited to the areas in between playing fields but not extending past outfield fencing, and excluding dugouts, parking lots, public rights-of-way, and any area within 20 feet of the playground. See map.
- Jorgensen Gazebo - Within the gazebo at Jorgensen Park and a 75-foot radius from the center of the gazebo thereof, except where limited by Pac Man Pond. See map.
- Legion Park – Within the pavilion structure at Legion Park and within the boundaries of Legion Park on the north, east and south, and no closer than 20 feet from the playground and athletic courts to the west. See map

A brewpub license authorizes the retail and wholesale sale of malt liquors by establishments that manufacture not more than 1,860,000 gallons of malt liquor on the premises annually. A brewpub may also sell malt, vinous, and spiritous liquor for on-premises consumption if food sales comprise at least 15% of the gross on-premises income. Brew pubs can sell sealed containers of beer manufactured at another location, if the location is under the same ownership.
A club license authorizes qualifying non-profit corporations to sell malt, vinous, or spirituous liquors by the drink to members and their guests for consumption on the club premises. No food requirements. Removal of partially consumed bottle of wine allowed if sandwiches and light snacks are served.
This license authorizes the sale of malt, vinous, and spirituous liquors in sealed containers for off-premises consumption. Retail liquor stores may sell any non-alcohol products, but only if the annual sales of non-alcohol products do not exceed 20% of gross sales revenue. Alcohol delivery may be offered.
A licensed hotel may sell malt, vinous, and spirituous liquor only to its customers and, except in hotel rooms, only on the licensed premises where meals are served as described for restaurants.
A hotel can request to be designated as a resort complex or campus liquor complex with related facilities.
