Volunteer HARB Opening

We are currently looking for a volunteer to serve a partial term on the Historical and Architectural Review Board. HARB makes recommendations that help maintain and preserve our historic district and provides suggestions and advice to property owners on proper methods of historic preservation.

Borough Council recently appointed several residents to serve on our boards and commissions. Jacob Krieger, a five-year resident of the Borough, was appointed to serve a partial term on the Planning Commission. Mr. Krieger works as a landscape architect and is involved with land design and planning projects.

Tamela Trussell was appointed Resident-At-Large to the Climate Action Commission. Ms. Trussell is a longtime Borough resident with an extensive background in science education. She also volunteers with several local environmental organizations.

Larry Seagrist was reappointed to a second term on the Municipal Authority. Mr. Seagrist has over 60 years of experience in fire service, serving as fire chief and emergency management coordinator. In that capacity, he worked directly with water utilities about matters such as water distribution, water leaks, and fire hydrant issues.

Finally, Council appointed Gary McCormick to a full term on the Sewer Authority. Mr. McCormick has lived in Carlisle since 1981 and has a Masters in Urban Planning. He spent his 44-year career as a civil engineer.
