BLAIR TOWNSHIP
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Please be advised that on October 12, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Blair Township Hall, 2121 County Road 633, Grawn, MI  49637, the Blair Township Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing regarding the following item:
Creating a new Special Assessment Roll for the Meadow Woods 1&2 Subdivisions for the purpose of specially assessing that portion of the cost of the maintenance, repair and operation of streetlights in the Meadow Woods 1&2 Subdivisions more particularly described to the properties specially benefitted by said public improvement.
The details of the proposed special assessment will be the subject of this meeting.
A copy of plans and estimates of the cost of the special assessment are available for inspection at the Blair Township Clerk’s Office at 2121 County Road 633, Grawn, MI 49637, during regular business hours.
Any record owner of or party in interest in property to be assessed, or his or her agent, may file an objection to the special assessment in person at the hearing or by letter received by the Blair Township Board of Trustees no later than the date of the public hearing.  Written objections should be mailed or personally delivered to the Blair Township Board of Trustees at 2121 County Road 633, Grawn, MI  49637 on or before 6:00 pm on October 12, 2021.  Appearance and protest in person and/or in writing is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the state tax tribunal.  Periodic redeterminations of cost may be necessary over the course of the improvement project, in which case such redeterminations may be made without further notice to record owners of or parties in interest in the property to be assessed so long as any such incremental cost increase does not exceed 10% of the original estimate.
Blair Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon seven (7) days advance notice to the Blair Township Board of Trustees.  Individuals requiring auxiliary aids or services should contract the Blair Township Clerk in writing or by calling 231-276-9263 no later than October 7, 2021.

 Please be advised that on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Blair Township Hall, 2121 Co. Rd. 633 Grawn, MI 49637, the BLAIR TOWNSHIP Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting to conduct business and a public hearing to consider the following request:  Special Use Case # SU/SPR 21-09-01: The applicant, Alliance Beverage, – is requesting a Special Use/Site Plan Review to establish a 70,000 sq’ beverage warehouse & distribution facility on vacant property located at 525 W commerce dr, Traverse City, MI  49685- parcel #28-02-005-020-20 North of US 31, West of Commerce dr. Section 5 T26N R11W
Full and accurate copies of the proposed special use application are available for inspection at the Blair Township Hall, Tuesday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Written comments will be received until, October 11, 2021, and directed to the Blair Board of Trustees, 2121 Co. Rd 633 Grawn, MI 49637 or email zoning@blairtownship.org. Blair Township will provide reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the public hearing.
